Rotem Parran

1st year MASc, Chemical Engineering

Co-supervised by Dr. Charlotte Gibson

Rotem’s research aims to design selective collectors for rare earth metals flotation, employing green organic chemistry. Electrochemical reactions are used to generate new collector candidates to improve rare earth ore flotation efficiency. In collaboration with Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), Rotem’s work aims to secure a stable domestic supply of critical minerals, lessen dependence on foreign sources, and support economic growth within the Canadian mining industry.
