Graduate Students
Jayme Sheriff
1st year MASc, Chemical Engineering
Co-supervised by Dr. Dominik BarzJayme completed her undergraduate degree in the Engineering Chemistry program at Queen’s with a professional internship, where she worked in corrosion prevention engineering at TC Energy in Calgary, Alberta. Jayme completed an undergraduate thesis in Dr. Dominik Barz’s lab in the Chemical Engineering department on the development of a 2D material composite hydrogel for use as supercapacitor electrodes. Now, co-supervised by Dr. Barz for her MASc, she is exploring the use of binder-free activated carbon supercapacitor electrodes, and the addition of organic redox couples to create sustainable battery-supercapacitor hybrid devices.
